Who are we?
Founder and Vision
SCM Integrity First Companies, LLC is a proud, woman-owned and family-operated construction and development firm, led by visionary founder Dr. Shenequa C. Miller. The company specializes in custom homes, multi-family commercial projects, and community development, with renovations offered as a secondary service.
Rooted in a spiritual vision God shared with Dr. Miller, SCM Integrity First Companies was born to revitalize neighborhoods and build sustainable, uplifting communities in her hometown of Gilmer, Texas — especially the area where her parents once lived. Every project is guided by a commitment to integrity, safety, and lasting impact.
Historic Recognition
Dr. Miller’s leadership has been recognized historically: on February 28, 2023, she became the first person in Gilmer, Texas, to receive the Key to the City, and March 1 was officially proclaimed “Dr. Shenequa C. Miller Day” in honor of her decades of service, leadership, and community impact.
Author and Nonprofit Leadership
In addition to her work in construction, Dr. Miller is a published author, founder of the nonprofit SheCanMakeit.org, and a former national education leader and university professor, bringing over 30 years of transformative leadership experience to every project.
